Today’s OOTD features one of my most worn outfit combinations-denim on denim.  I remember trying out the chambray trend years ago and being a bit self-conscious that I looked more like Jay Leno than all the cute bloggers on Pinterest, but since then I have fully embraced the look.  And, by fully embraced, I mean I wear some form of this look on a weekly basis.

In the years following my first dubious fashion experience with Chambray I have found that more and more retailers are selling a variety of styles and cuts all year long.  In the fall my go-to outfit (to the point it might as well be called a uniform) consists of: jeans, a button-down chambray, a pair of boots and a vest.  This look has served me so well, in the summer I swap out the button-down for a sleeveless version of the same top, switch out the boots for a pair of flats or sandals, and voila! you’ve got yourself a summer uniform.

When I feel like switching it up a bit, I find white denim bottoms really make the chambray top pop.  It’s such a classic summer look, you can’t go wrong!  I’m currently on the hunt for a new pair of white denim, as my favorite pair is really starting to show their wear.  Any suggestions?  As a curvy girl, I find it can be quite the challenge to track down a flattering pair of plus-size jeans you feel confident in.  Where do you find your favorite denim items?  Let me know in the comments below.
